South Africa: family to S. Africa:
We are a family with 3 small kids- aged 9, 6, and 3. What areas are good to look at to live for 3-6 months in July next year outside of the city? Any areas to avoid?
United Kingdom: appliances for London:
My family and I just moved here from the states. We did not bring over our appliances because the voltage is completely different and you will fry your appliances as well as your electricity here. We bought a computer here and have not got to the DVD players or other appliances yet. We have tried our hair clippers and heating pad from the States and they get hot very quickly so I can only imagine what the voltage would do to the bigger appliances. FYI, when you do get here, if you buy a DVD player make sure it is a Universal DVD player otherwise it won't play our American DVD/CD's.
United Kingdom: Moving to Greenwich..w/ kids:
we are moving to blackheath in april with 3 kids- age 7, 4, and 1 yrs. we are looking for any information about schools, areas to live and not to, fun things to do with kids around there like tumbling classes, etc. we would like to go to british schools and avoid the american private schools. Is this unheard of? what is the british schedule? year round or semesters? any suggestions for schools in the area?
United Kingdom: Moving to the UK with Kids:
Rocky mtn- how was your move? We are looking to move to London in May of 06 and just started looking into schools for our 6 & 4 year olds. How was the transition? Any advice for us Coloradans? Any great neighborhoods and schools we should look at?
