Hello Everyone. I need some offshore company documents attested for the Land Department and I wonder whether anyone knows the drill please? Thanks, Graham

Spain: Moving to Spain's Coast:

To get the correct answers to your questions and any others, I'd start with contacting the Spanish Embassy in the USA or visiting a Spanish Consul in the absence of the a Embassy close by. Following that, use the forum for the day to day questions and practicalities of living and moving there. Alternatively, contact the U.S. Embassy in Spain. Good luck, Graham

Portugal: Second scouting trip to Portugal!:

Hi, Here's an interesting article http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2014/jul/12/-sp-portugal-alentejo-region-europe-finest-beaches. Here is a property site that may give you an idea of prices: http://www.alentejohome.com Good luck and please keep us posted of your final selection? Graham

Spain: North Western Spain:

Hello Everyone, My wife and are are searching for a place to retire to in the next 4 years in the North West of Spain. We have been to Spain but it was some years ago now (18) and that was on the Med coast. We'd be looking for the following but not necessarily in the order of preference. 1) a relatively cosmopolitan area with English speaking retirees and working expats 2) somewhere where expats meet regularly such as a tennis club or the like (good social life) 3) good rail and road links to an international airport (within 1 hour preferred) 4) good medical care 5) good weather (not too windy) 6) a beach 7) accessible shops and supermarkets 8) rural landscape say within 30 minutes drive I wondered whether anyone knows whether where these requirements may fit the bill? We don't want somewhere too expensive. If one were to buy a 4 bed house with a swimming pool and a decent plot (1/4 hectare), we'd hope to pay under €300,000 . Do any of you have any suggestion? Thank you, Graham Sent on the hoof!

Portugal: Ericeira:

Hello Everyone, My wife and are are surching a place to retire to in the next 4 years. We have been to Portugal but it was some years ago now (18). We'd be looking for the following but not necessarily in the order of preference. 1) a relatively cosmopolitan area with English speaking retirees and working expats 2) somewhere where expats meet regularly such as a tennis club or the like (good social life) 3) good rail and road links to Lisbon (within 1 hour preferred) 4) good medical care 5) good weather (not too windy) 6) a beach 7) accessible shops and supermarkets 8) rural landscape say within 30 minutes drive Lisbon itself I wondered whether anyone knows whether Ericeira might fit the bill. Cascais is a wee bit expensive if one were to buy a 4 bed house with a swimming pool and a decent plot (half and 1/4 hectare)in my view. If Ericeira is not suitable, do any of you have an alternative suggestion? Thank you, Graham

Yes thank you I'm sure that many will be interested. By the way, where did you choice to live? Graham

Spain: Thinking of Spain for Semi-Retirement:

Thanks for that posting Lawrie. It must be a reply to a querie and I hope you don't mind me asking? I guess that a Spanish pueblo is simply a traditional Spanish village? If so, that does sound appealing. Can you get houses in these pueblos or are they apartments/flats? If you can get houses, are any of them detached with a garden or are they predominantly town houses with a small postage stamp back yard? Thanks, Graham
