Nicaragua: New to Nicaragua:

I will be arriving in a couple days, made arrangements for Granada the first week. Seems like a great home base until I acclimate. I'm looking for another solo traveler who wants to share housing in any beach area after my Granada visit. Is this a good place to make this request? Or any suggestions would be awesome!! Any great places to meet others once I arrive? Thanks!!

Nice to find this site. I will be arriving June 2015 to your beautiful country. Still researching what areas but I think I have it narrowed down to a month in each Granda, Little Corn and San Juan Del Sur, Being an avid swimmer/body surfer being on the coast is important to me. I'm in my early 50', female traveling solo. Coming to reinvent my loss soul, lol Do you see others my age swimming w/ the young surfers? Finally taking the plunge and would like to give back to the locals too. Hoping to meet others my age i.e..expats. Although not interested in negativity....Heck NO, that isn't why I'm coming! At this time I have no accommodations arranged and will take any advise or suggestions on other areas that I should consider. Can I send a couple of boxes once I get settled in a city to an address in Nic? Thank you everyone for the great site and all the information!
