Italy: Italian Road Trip:

I live in Aosta in the north. Im doing a road trip with my husband and two cocker spaniels (so city stays not convenient). We have a minibus which we put a mattress in for sleeping. Any suggestions on little places to visit or stay. We have Parma, Cinque Terre, Peruggia and Napoli on the list as we have friends living near each of these places and we will head down one coast and come up the other. Looking for perhaps out of the way places, quaint, interesting, practical for our situation. thanks
