France: How to ship French wine to the US?:

I recommend for you to check with a company called Western Carriers. www.westerncarriers.com Email is: wine@westerncarriers.com I work for a moving company, and this is who we frequently refer people transporting wine to!

United States: german girl marries texan guy: Help!!:

Hi there! I moved to Sweden to be with my boyfriend and now he has moved here to Dallas, Texas. Best advise is to for sure get an immigrations lawyer. We did that and here is his info: George Rodriguez 214-637-5700 sralaw@birch.net He's really great and not too expensive. Even though it is extra money - getting a lawyer makes everything go MUCH faster and you have less to do. When people try to do these things their own- they usually mess up and so the process takes longer. You guys should just give him a call and he can give you estimated prices and stuff. Good luck! China: Shipping your belongings to China? (Cost, restrictions..etc):

Although you wanted information from someone who has shipped their belongings to China (and I have not done that), I am an international move coordinator and can get you any of this sort of information that you need. One thing I do have to say in response to the $2600 to ship a container to Ireland, is that that was not a full-service move provider. I have a feeling that they packed all their own boxes, loaded the container, etc. So there are reasons as to why/how the relocation of your goods internationally could cost more or less. If you would like more information on this, specific customs restrictions, and/or a quote, you can feel free to contact me (Adrian Gonzales) by email: agonzales@goarmstrong.com I work for Armstrong Relocation, which is an agent for United Van Lines. Hope I can help!!

Sweden: moving to stockholm:

I have two ways of being able to help give information. First, I lived in Gothenburg, Sweden, for all of last year and have plenty of info about living in Sweden. Also, I currently am back living in the US and I am an international move coordinator, so I can offer information regarding moving to Sweden. Anyways, if you want any info about these things, feel free to email me at agonzales@goarmstrong.com -Thanks, Adrian

Denmark: American Moving To Denmark, looking for tips:

Have not lived in Denmark, but lived in Sweden last year. Based on my experience, would probably not move my car. I knew alot of expats there that were on assignments in Sweden and none of them brought cars either. Definately bring plenty of warm clothes and GOOD shoes. Don't bring appliances/electronics really. Should bring american cups/teaspoon for cooking. Those come in really handy when making your American recipes (instead of trying to convert them into metric). Bring American games and stuff for the kids, cause the Toys R Us 's abroad have games and things, but they're not in English. Can't think of much else though. Anyways, if you also need tips of relocation and the actual move, I actually started working for United Van Lines when I moved back to the US and can help you out with anything like that as well! -Adrian

Poland: Move to South Carolina:

Hello Markus! I do not live in South Carolina, but I did go to University in Tennessee. Both are considered part of the "South" and unfortunately are not usually known for their public education systems. Your best bet would probably be to look into a private school, but you will have less choice of that in smaller cities. You might be better off looking into a bigger city than August or such. But maybe you do not have a choice. I assume you are possibly moving to the US for a job?

Italy: Aussies moving to Tuscany:

Hello there! I work for a relocation company and so we have some basic info about things like this. One website to go to that has basics on customs is: http://tracking.alliedintl.com/customs_reports/ITALY.asp also, for specifics about pets, you can go to: www.airanimal.com If you need any help with your relocation, I can also help you out with that as well! Thanks and good luck!

United States: I want to move to New York:

Yes he is right. It is basically impossible to move to the US without a work visa or on a fiance/marriage visa. The process is VERY long and hard AND very costly. If you do manage to find a way over, you will also probably want to hire an attorney who specializes in US immigrations, otherwise the process will be much harder.

Israel: Moving To Israel:

Hello there! I am an international move coordinator for United Van Lines and would be happy to help you with this matter. If you only have about 1/4 of a 20' container - you would probably want to consider moving your goods in wooden liftvans (basically large wooden crates) or doing an air shipment. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact me by email. My agency's name is Armstrong Relocation and so my email is: agonzales@goarmstrong.com Good luck! Adrian Gonzales
