Cyprus: Moving to Cyprus:

We have been reading this site with interest and wonder if someone can offer us some practicable advice ?? We have talked of moving to Cyprus for many years but have now decided that we would like to do it later this year or early next, wanting a better quality of life for us and our two sons of 8 and 17. We have various issues which we would appreciate some guidance on: Firstly, we would like to live in Limassol, but have an 8 year old son who would need to go to school, is anyone able to recommend a good english speaking school ? Secondly, we are in the unfortunate position whereby we will have to work - my husband is in the construction industry - is there much employment around for English workers ? Thidly, we would be renting initially - can anyone recommend some nice areas to start off where we wont be isolated and be able to meet and be involved with others ? We are coming out to Cyrpus in July to do some extensive exploration so if there is anyone out there that would be able to offer us some practicable guidance we would appreciate it and possibly meet up for a beer and a chat. PLEASE, if anyone can assisst with the above queries, we would love to hear from you.

Cyprus: Move to cyprus 2006:

Hi I'm sorry but I cannot answer your question as we too are hoping to move to Cyprus in Oct/Nov 2006 and are faced with the same question, we have a 7 year old and a son who will be just approaching 17 at this time. When moving to Cyprus we will have to seek employment, accommodation etc and are a little "stuck/confused" of how to start the ball rolling so if anyone can offer us any assistance we would be most grateful. Look forward to hearing from you and if you have received any more information of clubs/associations for 17 year olds i would be interested to hear from you. Ally
