Peru: Any info for "retiring' to Peru?:

Hi all, I've been looking online for a yahoo or other website group of expats of all ages who have moved to Peru... this is the first one I've found for anyone! Is Peru the great undiscovered secret? We have a friend from Peru who says it would be an ideal place to move to on a fixed income and have a good life, good climate, etc. I'm hoping to get an idea of where the most expats live/visit, and some ideas of different areas that are good to live in, we also want to be able to sail on ocean, so wondering about different beach climates or within an hour of it, costs of living, etc. Any info anyone can give me and/or books or site/s you can point me to is MOST appreciated!
