Poland: Behavior of some Polish People:
No offense but after 3 years in Poland ,don't you think it is about time to learn Polish ?( Or at least basic communication for shopping etc).
Indeed ,there is no concept of service in businesses in Poland, shop employees and owners are rude and apart from those who have worked and lived in the West ,Poles have no idea of what a good customer service oriented company is but if you speak Polish at least you can complain and tell them to be polite. They are not only unpleasant to expats and foreigners but to everyone!
Therefore most Polish clients prefer to shop in places like Ikea or Carrefour which are foreign companies with better service.
Poland: Retirement in Poland.:
Yes if you ll get 1200 us dollars or euros a month you ll roughly have about 3600 to 4000 zl a month and it is feasable to live well but without luxury in Poland. You ll have to spend about half of your pension on rent + utilities ( water, heating electricity )though but food and local transportation are cheaper than in the uS.It all depends which city you choose , i am speaking about Krakow bu youd have a higher purchasing power in a smaller city or a village in Poland.
Poland: relocating to rzeszowska poland:
relocating to Poland is not difficult at all for British people.Poles are friendly and most young people all speak English, it is a wonderful country, and cities are full of good restaurants , bars, shops, the country is extremely beautiful too.Rzeszow is also ok although i of course prefer Krakow. As far as the language is concerned you may take group or private lessons just to learn daily life communication and how Polish language works.
You ll have a good time.

You may try PPP ( it is Axa the European insurance, they operate from the UK but their Health Insurance is Worldwide, very popular among expats but pricey).

Poland: Advice regarding inheritance of Polish property.:
There is no inheritance tax for foreigners in Poland .
There a Tax treaty between the UK and Poland and other countries and Poland.
You may go on the forum of Polishforums.com and ask your question on the real Estate Section.
Ithink that all you have to do with your Mother's property which is yours by European Law is to go to a NOTARY with the Property papers , they might have to do a research to know if your mother had other heirs but you should not worry .
Best,c
France: Freelancing in France:
It has become very easy to become Freelance in France now and get a status of travailleur independant .You can get a SIRET number in 10 days by going to your local URSSAF and if you register at a CGA ( CGA Paris Picpus) for instance ,you get a 25% tax reduction and they can do all your accounting for you ( you pay them).their experts will approve your accounting limiting potential errors that is why the French government granted this Tax reduction to travailleurs independants only ( does not apply for people in SARL or small business).
