Bermuda: Honesty Needed:
The message is simple if you don't mind being a patsy for your employer and some are pretty good but their are others you should beware of promises to get you there followed on arrival by doing the opposite. No protection for you. Once you have moved well your on your own. Well if you are not a fan of luxury you are in the right place :-)
I wouldn't for anything less than $120 USD even with living expense.
Bermuda: North America IT beware:
Hi All,
As a well experienced software developer from Canada I would like to share my experience of taking a job in Bermuda, my work permit was 3 years within two months I needed to get out of Bermuda not because of the country which is amazing as is the locals (the expats well that is a different story). Lets start off with the great offer money good location good all good, then I arrive at work. After one week I found the systems are 19th century and I am being nice here. So I am hired as the Senior Developer now to me that means they need help hence the hiredc me yes? eh no after providing feedback to my manager on suggestions (which was asked of me) I suddenly became the deveil in disguise, Next to my shock and horror I am told my titile means nothing and I am lower ed down to support the worst application. Ok fine I say I have 3 years of this perhaps I should give it a try. Further in the weeks I am finding that the people making the decisions for development have been working at the company for years 8 plus and started as IT support. I am ok with people making decisions if they know what they are talking about.
If you want to hear more of this horror movie I can update. I was given a 6 months probation and these idiots extended my an additional 3 months of probation. They thought that because I came from Canada I must be the biggest moron alive....
Shall I continue??

Bermuda: Job offer:
get the best you can everything is imported so expect things to be expensive. Where you are not taxed on Salary it is made up on products etc.
I am not sure how that can be question can be answered as it is pretty open the more you make the better.
Cheers

Hi all,
Just in the process of moving to Bermuda where I will be working in Hamilton. I would like to find a place. What would be a good place to start if someone is working in Hamilton?
Thanks

Bermuda: Salary versus cost of living:
Hi Just did the same try this place:

Close to Hamilton. The number one rule to remember as far as Bermuda is everything is imported so expect to pay more than you would in Canada. Also this is a small Island.
Great place to live I love it here and never want to leave.
