Uruguay: Younger Family Thinking of Expatriating...So Many Questions:

I have an apartment in Punta del Este and have hired electricians from time to time. I have been happy with my results but have been happy the costs are much lower than I would expect to pay in the States. So your income would be lower. I would suggest to "get in bed" with some local realtors who could direct business your way. I have heard about others getting unsatisfactory results from local electricians. I am sure others will weigh in.

How about the British School? I know graduates and have been very impressed with students I have chatted with.

I brought my US television to UY and with a transformer have no problems.

Uruguay: Best Recommended Car Rental:

I always use Multicar, three or four times a year. Never have had an issue. They will request $800 for insurance coverage but it is not put through unless there is an accident. You dont need additional insurance as coverage is generally covered by your credit card company. Obviously check on this. Staff is great. I believe costs are reasonable.
