I have been offered a job in Muscat and can't decide whether to go. I am single and 47 gay male so will live alone but have lots of friends visiting. I will be in a very senior position and earnnig a high basic. Please advise on renting costs for a reasonable sized house/villa and how much salary one needs to live reasonably well, travel and have money to save for the pension. I've been offered around £6k to buy furniture. Is that enough? I want to live in Shatti al Qurum but have been offered 800 Omani reals. Is that enough monthly to live there? Anywhere else I should consider? Look forward to your repleis.
