Russia: 10 Fun Facts About Russia:
From the blog by Jennifer Dombrowski:
"For every frustrating moment we had, it was replaced by 3 amazing moments that would make us wonder what exactly we’d been frustrated over in the first place."

Ukraine: Wanted, a Russian language tutor to Skype:
Hi, my plan is to move to a Russian speaking country by the end of this year. This place (Unmerica) hasn't felt like my home for decades and now I have finally decided to do something about it. But I only speak a few words in Russian. I have tried to learn the language on my own and it just doesn't stick in my head. My brain doesn't seem to learn that way. I need a tutor who is a native Russian speaker. A female is preferred because over the years I've found that my brain absorbs information better from a female voice than male. Perhaps it's because my brothers, sisters and I were raised by a single mother (8 of us) I don't know.
Just a little personal info about me so you know I'm serious, determined, and to get to know a little about me. I love to work in my garden, take long walks, hiking, biking and swimming. I would love to go on vacation and see the many wonderful places I've only read about and learn to ski, waterski, snorkling, maybe even scuba diving among others.
Now you know a little about me, feel free to send me a private message with your email or skype or reply here.
Russia: How to emigrate from US to Russia:
Please feel free to either post a comment or PM me. I have a million questions but no answers. I need the straight dope from someone who has already done it. The word from the man (or woman) on the street as they say here.
My plan is to move to Russia by the end of the year but I don't have a clue where to start, what forms I need. Do I need a police clearance as is required by some other countries? Is there a required amount of money I would need to deposit in a bank in Russia?
How long can I stay, can I extend my initial visa after my arrival or will I have to hop over the border every 30 days or ____ fill in the blank? Can I ever become a legal resident? Can I buy property?
See? So many questions that only a person who has actually made the move from Un-Amerika to Russia.
Russia: Need to learn Russian language via skype:
Can you be my Russian language tutor? If you are a native Russian.
I prefer (I learn better from) a female instructor. You can be any age 18 to 99. My plan is to move to Russia before the end of this year and every time I try to learn Russian on my own it just doesn't stick. That's why a tutor seems like what I need.
Perhaps you could also help me learn about the culture, things not to say and not to do, and how to tell a taxi driver where I need to go. It doesn't matter really. Any help you can give me would be good.
Russia: Don't buy the U.S. propaganda:
RT is a far more reliable source than the media here (which are all owned by only 6 companies). You will only get the approved narrative in Unmerica. In contrast, I have heard RT openly question just about everything. Nobody got fired or demoted or whatever.
In Unmerica, however, several hosts of "news" shows have been fired for doing much less. Keith Olbermann got canned from M.S.N.B.C. and CurrentTV for not towing the party line and not following the allowed narrative. He is only one example (I can think of about 6 others right off the top of my head, including Dan Rather, Ted Koppel and Tom Brokaw).
So which one is the mouthpiece? Which one fires people for going against the approved narrative?
