Portugal: Portuguese Golden Visa:

I'm sorry to intrude in your conversation, but since I'm a lawyer (Oporto based) and having already dealt with ARI requests (Golden Visa), I must tell you that there's no news about a possible expiry date to the program. Plus, had you already requested your visa when such "expiry" comes, then should you fill all requested items, they would have to grant you the visa anyway. Regarding the price bubble in real estate, the only thing I must tell you is that you should look thoroughly before you buy, nothing else. Best regards to all (and Lagos is a beautiful town, it happens that I own a flat there!). Joaquim Ferreira Pires, Attorney

Portugal: Contacts, Advice:

Hi, You've been wrongly advised. there are regular auctions in Porto, I remember P55 auction house, but there are others I can't remember the name now. Should you need any help, please contact me by email portolaw@gmail.com Regards, Joaquim Pires

Portugal: COMPARE: Vila Nova de Gaia and the Aliados and Bolhao neighborhoods:

good afternoon. the areas really depens on what you like and what you want to do if you plan to work in Porto from the early morning on, i would not recommend Vila Nova de Gaia, due to the traffic (only with a few exception). if you value the beach, then the coast of Vila Nova de Gaia (south of Porto), Matosinhos (north, but really connected to Porto) or even Foz (the most expensive neighbourhood of Porto) are the best areas. if you value parks, then the Boavista area, near to the city park would be the best. if you value night-life, then downtown (Baixa) or Ribeira are the best. if you have any trouble regarding renting/buying, just let me know and i'll see if I can help Regards, Joaquim Pires

Portugal: Porto:

Hi Vivienne, I live in Porto and I'm a portuguese member of an english club in town. There's lots of english-speaking people coming to live here or in the whereabouts and recently i've helped one moving to Espinho, 30km south of here. Joaquim

Portugal: Tax Liability:

Try António Borges Pires or Paulo Réfega. These two lawyers are from the Lisbon area and I find them quite professional. Joaquim Ferreira Pires Lawyer Porto - Portugal
