Mexico: Place to live with cool climate??:
I've been living on/off in Baja, Mexico for several years as well as travelingi the entire peninsula. Unfortunately Baja has become much more expensive due to the influx of Americans/Canadians there so I'm looking for a new place to spend at least 1/2 of the year on the mainland of Mexico where there are less foreign tourists and less expensive. Need a cool or temperate climate. Now considering Zacatecas or Queretaro or Aguascalientes. Any recent experiences with those living in the interior of Mexico and recommendations..
Mexico: interested in Hermosillo:
If you're the typical expat that needs that type of community then you won't like Hermosillo esp. if you don't speak good Spanish. It is a very affluent city but it is not great for typical expats. And the weather is in the 100's in the summer. You're probably better in a place like San Carlos with many American/Canadian expats.
Mexico: Best places for good WiFi:
I've lived in several places in Baja & Sonora and as mentioned it depends entirely on the area you live. There is no one good place for wi-fi thruout Mexico.
Mexico: Need to move to Mexico:
Rodrigo: Have you ever been to the Florida Keys because if you have it is very EXPENSIVE. Many people who live there have to live on the Florida mainland and go there for work as they can't afford to live there.
You might be able to find comparable housing in the other places you mentioned but it will be highly unlike unless you are in a very substandard place. I've lived in all of the states mentioned as I travel around volunteering and all of those places will be a challenge compared to the average Mexican location.
Also...the more Americans/expats located in a place; generally it is more expensive.
Mexico: Mexicali:
Anyone living in the Mexicali area? I'm thinking about spending the winteri there since I've already live in most of Baja Norte in the past.
Or how about San Felipe?
Mexico: Best place for women?:
Hopefully you can improve that website and add many more assignments as it is very sparse to pay that amount of $ for subscription.
There are a couple of websites that you pay less than $50 for 2 years and they are worldwide.
Never mentioned on those housesitting websites is that housesitting in general is very competitive. Just do some research about housesitting to find that out.
Mexico: US Expat Banking While Living In Mexico:
Bancomer has stopped accepting ATM withdrawals but all the other banks seems to be O.K. Have not had any problems with others while traveling 2 months around Baja.
Mexico: Need cheap place to visit:
Anywhere you go in Mexico you can find affordable places provided you get away from the heavily tourist areas. The rule of thumb is that if there are a lot of tourists in the area (esp. American & Canadian) you can expect prices to be 20 per cent or higher than others.
Mexico: Driving from Laredo to Chapala:
Check the mexico expat forums and you will find all the info you need about need. Google expat forum mexico and you will find them.
