Egypt: Muslim man wanted to marry me as Second Wife:

Hello, I have known this Egyptian for 5 years and he married to first wife but is seperated. He says he wanted married me but that I be his second wife. In Islam , is allowed. I am muslim revert/ convert. I already given him prenup marriage contract he agree too, but am having hard time dealing the idea he is still married. I been married twice before to egyptian had had bad expereince and both took all my money and left me with nothing.. I not want to fall back into another trap so that is why I had prenup made and legalize to protect myself and my rights as a wife in Islam. He never asked for money from me , he even told me if he ever asked for it that I should divorce him. Anyone has any advise on how I can overcome this issue as being second wife. In USA, it is not legal to have two wives only one ! My upbringing from catholic family only believes one spouse and culture . I am age of 50 , i have read quan and hadith that (pbuh) prophet mohamed married his first wife who was 25 his senior and he loved her . the man , whom want to marry me as his second wife is 8 yrs younger than me. Can someone give any suggestions to help me deal with this issue. I do love him and known him of 5 years but it is hard .

Egypt: I need to understand:

My advise to you, Never bring daughter back to Egypt to meet family . Why, the father will take your daughter away and you will never see her again. I known two women whom both are british but father was egyptian , mother brougth them to egypt to visit dad. They never went back to egypt . Father took them away from their mother. Both ladies who I spoke to said they never forgave their father for what he did till this day. But , they are raised in Muslim upbringing and is being watch constantly where they go. Truly am sorry what you been through. I was married to an Egyptian and they do lie including families. They just want money from you !! that is it. Please see if you can get some type of assistant from government for single mothers or even from a non profit organization, as well from the church. I wish you to best endeavors for you and daughter.

Egypt: Married Liar and Cheat:

Have you tried contacting the Embassy? Not sure if British Embassy does this but I know that American Embassy will pay for your ticket home and eventually you have to pay it back in payments. It is a thought? What about the church? Sometimes they help those to stay in convent until they are back on their feet again. Do you know anyone from back home that can help you stay at a church until you are back on your feet again? Am sorry to hear what your going through..to bad you can not get a good honest lawyer to have him repaid you back. Do wish that all is in your favor and that your life gets better soon. Gods Willing
