Hi there. Yes, there are nice beaches in Peru. Near Lima, the weather is only nice during Summer time. However, in the north part of the country, Piura and Tumbes, there are beautiful beaches with white sand, palm trees and warm weather all year round. Try looking Punta Sal or Mancora.

Peru: Peru retirement:

Interesting that you are going to Peru and Colombia to check a place to live. In Lima the medical care is excellent if you have the money to pay for it. They have first class hospitals, good doctors, nurses are great and they have modern equipments. Medical care and meds can be expensive but cheaper than in the USA.
