Panama: temporary driver's license:

You can drive for up to 90 days on your U.S. driver license. Once you become a resident you have 30 days to get a Panamanian license if you want to drive. Not sure what you mean by a temporary license, I don't believe there is such a thing.

Panama: Issues with purchasing a home w/i existing corporation:

I hope you are using a Panamanian attorney to handle your real estate purchase. You should address this question to him/her.

Panama: 'permanent'' tourist:

Yes, when you re-enter the country the time clock starts again (at least it does under the current law). It is actually 180 days and 90 days (not six months and three months).

Panama: Length of stay for non residents:

There is a lot of misinformation on the internet regarding the recent changes. The bottom line is that for most there will be no change. Citizens of countries such as the U.S. UK and Canada, that do not have to apply for a visa, can still stay for 180 days. But as pointed out above can only drive on their home country license for 90 days.

Panama: Customs & Immigration Question:

There are pros and cons to purchasing real estate in the name of a corporation or foundation. I would recommend seeking competent legal advice.

Panama: Panama More Expensive Than I thought!:

There is an MLS in Panamá, but it's fairly new and not as widely used as in the States. http://www.mlsacobir.com/# I would also recommend Eldon Spears http://www.eldonspears.com/

Panama: Car license renewal in absence:

There are individuals that provide this service for a fee or a friend could do it. They will need the Revisado and copies of insurance, title and the passport or cédula you used to register the vehicle.

Panama: Short visit - where to go for 2 days???:

With so little time I would head to Coronado and El Valle. You could stay in Coronado and drive to visit El Valle (or vice versa) Not too far from the city and will give you some exposure to Pacific beaches and the mountains. Bear in mind that the traffic is usually bad Friday afternoon headed to the interior from the city and back to the city on Sunday. Avoid coming during Carnival week

Panama: Coronado activities:

No theater or American Club per se, but there is a very active and friendly expat community in and around Coronado. Picasso's Happy Hour on Wednesday night is popular plus they have other events including live music. Local activities include golf, hiking in the mountains, bike riding, and of course the beaches. There are also volunteer groups and those that get together for activities such as Bridge, photography etc. Check out All Things Coronado on Facebook and http://www.playacommunity.com/ for the latest on what's happening in the community. Enjoy your visit!

Panama: Amazon fire stick:

Yes, Amazon Fire TV and stick work well here but you need to use a VPN or an unlocator service
