Panama: Taboga Island Life:
I don't know if any of you know much or anything about Taboga, but if you do, please share. I was wondering if they use public water or does everyone have a cistern. Also, do they have cable and internet? Thanks.
Panama: Crime in PTY:
I don't know where this is coming from but the US Dept of State has NO travel warnings for Panama. And the website looks very suspect.
Panama: Arra Hijan:
Tharin4prez, thank you for the information on Nuevo Arraijan. I have been trying to get a little information on this area. I think it would suit me because of the proximity to PTY without the cost. I will be in PTY in April or May to finish up my pensionado visa and I'm hoping to visit the area and maybe get a short term rental to see if I like it. Is there more you can tell me about the area? Will the metro be coming there soon? What is the cost by cab to get from there to PTY? Anything you can share will be appreciated.
Panama: Retired Women in Panama City:
Are any of you (or do any of you know) single women who have retired to Panama City. I've only read posts from some who have retired to David and Boquete, If so, I would like your take on getting to know people, how you were received, and anything else that may be helpful. I've been there a few times and plan to spend at least 6 months there before I make a final decision, but I would like input from any women over 55 and unmarried. Thanks.
Panama: Speaking Spanish:
Hi,
I speak a little Spanish and learning more/getting more fluent every day. I was just wondering how many of you did not speak Spanish when you moved to Panama, but do now. And how long did it take you to learn enough to communicate relatively comfortably with the locals.
