Mexico: motels in route to Chapala with secure parking:

I don't really know of any hotels in Chapala with secure parking, but am sure you could find a B and B that could accommodate your needs. Multiple excellent B and B"s in the area.. Google to find them

Mexico: Where to visit:

spent our 50th anniversary at Puerta Penasco, loved it. Here are some of my favorite places. Ajijic, La Manzanilla, Barra de Navidad, both totally different from the major resort areas, Patzcuaro, Guanajuato and Tapalpa. You can read about most of these in my book, "Don't retire in Mexico" available at Amazon. All the above towns are within a max, 4 hour drive from Ajijic, at Lake Chapala.. Airport destination, Guadalajara. p.s, Don't let the title of my book scare you. Read and you'll understand

Mexico: Need cheap place to visit:

Ajijic Mexico has the largest expat population in Mexico and is centrally located to explore some fabulous places. Guanajuato, Morelia, Patzcauro Tapalpa, Santa Clara del cobre, Eduardo Louiz Parque Nationcional near urapan and the beaches like Barra de Navida and the little beach village of La Manzanilla. All those are within 3 to 4 hours of Ajijic. Fly into Guadalajara, from their cab to Ajijic, 40 minutes away on the largest lake in Mexico, Lake Chapapa

Mexico: Don't Retire in Mexico:

My wife and I loved living in Ajijic Mexico until unexpected circumstances forced us to return to the states. After returning to Florida, I found living in Mexico had consequences and as a result penned this book. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B013M2CVJ0
