Philippines: Why are the Philippines so poor?:

@ teejay i agree , if foreigner's could buy land , prices would go way nuts up ! ! chinese would buy it up,,, like a wild fire , sitting on it only to quadruple $$$$ in what ?? 5 years . same as they invest in apartment towers . if i recall , china passed a law , married couple's could only buy 2 spec apartment's . so now they divorce on paper , then they can purchase 4 . they ignore the realestate bubble's other countries semi survived . making it impossible for local pinoy's to ever even hope to buy . the philippines has a better land plan / outlook than the usa . vancouver canada ,,offered chinese who would deposit 1 . 6 million into a canadian bank , free green cards ? now the local doctors are in competition , trying to buy in the better areas . locals are unable to .

@cateacher ,,,, would you share a little about what you land sold ? size , tree cover ? price as well .. as i recall - canopalawan , posted some time ago ... no land title transfers , were being issued on palawan , due to , fraud & land grabs . thanks to all the posters on the varied topics on this site ,,, i read them all ..great knowledge base !

i spoke to a fellow , several days ago . from the chicago area . he was married apx 20 years . she already had two kids , when they met . now fast forward ,, to the present . her kids are in their mid twenties , still living at home ,,doing very little to nothing . the fellow had a conversation with his wife , saying the kids need to get motivated , get on with their lives ,,,its time for us to start the next part of ours . she refused that idea , divorced him ,,he now lost the house he paid for ,,she only stayed home ,,took care of her two kids . [[ free ride ]] .>> and he now has to provide $$ support to her ,,as far as i know ,,permanently . he is very ,,shall i say non happy ! i myself ,,had my plans /livelihood , thrown under the truck wheels . my ex non miss rite ,,ran the money down into the ground . i was buying homes , cash , giving them the white glove treatment & reselling . now im a small general contractor , waiting till i turn 62 then off to the philippines . to somewhat , forget the past / start over . ive followed the posts here for apx 2 years,,thanks to all the generous posters ,,im not going into the next phase of my life with rose colored glasses ,, in regards to living in phil , nor maybe finding a pinay . two of my closest friends , basically the same raw deal . note ; we are in wisconsin usa , the state of illinois is worse ,,as far as a free ride ,,to the blood sucking, ex's ! from what stanupguy is posting ,,canada,,is worse still !

Philippines: Dog lovers, dog shows, purebred dogs:

@acepool i used to raise and train rottweilers, to be used as family pets, children's guardians . they were only bred every other year , giving the ladies times to recoup . when the perspective new owners arrived , i trained their kids , how to manage a rottie pup , the kids were easy ,,, the parents took forever . the pups were fully trained at apx 7 weeks , on and off the leed ,sold at 8 weeks . if any one is interested in owning a rottie i would recommend a female , they are smarter than the males . the breed dosnt really bark much , they stand and look at any [new] visitors in the eyes . so as a guard , they know how to intimate , but are reading the persons personality / intention's .

Chance 2014 very nice post , ive only visited phil once , for a month. gave everyone respect , most responded warmly . 1/2 of my trip was way out in the province . i could tell they didnt see many cano's . some little kids thought i might have been santa ,,, haaa due to my blond hair . they clustered around me , with big smiles , wide open eyes . it made my day .
