Canada: How Can i buy property in Canada:

I agree with Vancouver Island as the destination of choice. Best climate in all of Canada and prices are still reasonable (except around Victoria). Remax is a big realtor and you can see all listings on realtor.ca but specific recommendation is this property. Beautiful 5 acre property plus multiple buildings for under $600k (USD $445) http://www.robgrey.com/listing/400652?pt=x&bed=0&bath=0&pricemin=0&pricemax=0&city=&ma=&rgo=y&p=1

Mexico: La Paz forum?:

Yes, we did just that. After visiting Lake Chapala (Ajijic) we decided it was just too "gringo" for us. Also visited many other areas around Mexico. You can't beat living on the ocean though and we like the Baja, so we have settled on La Paz as our final destination. You really need to do as jbbarker1947 suggests and put your boots on the ground in each area you might be interested in before deciding.

Mexico: La Paz:

We live in La Paz and "gringo groceries" are the same price as anybody's groceries. Yes it gets very hot in the summer. That's what a/c is for. If you want the same climate, groceries, mechanics, etc as where you're from.... the best place to find all those things is where you are now. Stay there. Or, come to La Paz, assimilate into the lifestyle and culture rather than importing your own, and enjoy the rest of your life.

Mexico: Any Baja Sur members?:

Good suggestion as Baja has many different rules (or lack of) compared to mainland MX. Site admins should take note.
