Saudi Arabia: Apt rates & Bringing family:

Friends, I am about to accept an offer from a Saudi company based in Riyadh. Couple of questions that I still have after browsing the recent posts are: (a) What is the price range for a medium sized 1 or 2 bedroom apartment currently ? Would SAR 2000 pm, be enough to get a good 1 or 2 bedroom apt? (not in a compound) (b) I will be having a Family Status visa. But my family can come on the family visa, only after a minimum of 3 months. Can I bring my wife & 4-yr old daughter, say after 1 month, on a tourist visa? Then change the tourist visa to residence visa later? Appreciate any of you could give any pointers or opinions on the above.

Sri Lanka: Questions on re-locating to Colombo:

Friends, I have been made a job offer which involves relocating to Colombo from India. While the salary is pretty good, I would like to collect some info before I decide on coming to Colombo. 1) Average rents in Colombo for a 2-bedroom apt. Would Rs. 25,000 per month be reasonable ? 2) Expenses of maintaining a car, including loan/lease re-payments. Would Rs. 50,000 per month be reasonable ? I would not be doing too much of travel 3) General Living & Food expenses. Would Rs. 25,000 per month be reasonable. I am a non-vegetarian and a family of 3. Any pointers would be welcome. I did not see much activity on this forum, but hoping that I would be lucky :-) Cheers, BK
