Kuwait: Refund of security deposit money fro flat:

Landlords count on expats leaving Kuwait and the process being "too difficult" to recover deposits. Find a lawyer (I recommend Labeed Abdal), sign a power of attorney and let him/her fie the case and eventually deposit your money by transfer into the account of your choice. You can also file a case against the landlord - which in the long run may be more satisfying.

Kuwait: Should I consider moving to Kuwait?:

Hi. I'm a single American woman and have lived here since 1996 alone (well, okay, most of that time). It is very safe. You don't have to worry. I live in a residential area where mostly only Kuwaitis live and I LOVE it. When it is an all-Kuwaiti neighborhood, they usually make sure that their surroundings are quiet - unlike areas like Salmiya or Mangaf which have high rises and where a lot of expats live. It is a huge change from Dubai. Have the company arrange for either a short-term business visa or a visitor visa, hop on a Jazeera flight and come check Kuwait out. Global Frieght Systems. They are partners with Pickfords in the US. They have storage units, COVERED trucks, and professional movers. I moved apartments with them.
