Saint Lucia: Homeschooling? Shopping? Airports? Housing?:

Hi There! I moved to St Lucia a few months ago and my Wife and four young kids will be moving out early Feb. There is a nice montistori school in the north of the island which we have toured. They are kind of busy though with a wait list. Depends of the age/grade you would be looking for. My kids are 3 to 10. My Wife used to work as a teacher and we are considering home schooling all four kids. Still working through the details on this. We too are bringing/brought minimal clothing etc. you can get pretty much anything you need here. Not concern yourself too much on this! Renting is the way to go. It will take a while to feel the place out and decide where you want to live before you buy. We currently rent a house in the north of the island which seems to be where most expats live. Friday nights at the marina is a good place to meet local expat family's. Bobby knows way more than I do about St Lucia as he helped us out when we were in the same boat as you, but feel free to reach out to us is you need further info. Good luck!

Saint Lucia: Montessori School?:

Hi there, My husband & I are contemplating a move to St Lucia & are wondering about schools for our children. We have heard there is a Montessori school that goes up to grade 6 in Rodney Bay. Do any of you have any knowledge about this school you could share? Thanks in advance for any input!

Saint Lucia: Family Move:

Hello Everybody! I have been offered a job in St. Lucia and considering moving over in October with my wife and four young kids. I do not know too much about the island other than it is beautiful based on my on-line searches and youtube! I have many many questions, but top of the list are questions concerning schooling, accommodation, and transportation. My kids are 1, 3, 5, & 8. I see there is an international school at the north of the island. Is this the only option for ex-pats aside from home schooling? What are the reviews for this school? I will be working south west of the island. would living in or around rodney bay be too much of a daily commute? Although i would get a vehicle with my job, my wife would need one for her and the kids. We own a minivan in the U.S, would it be worth shipping this to SL and paying the duty or buy one there? I do appreciate any help i can get with these (any many other!) questions. Thanks
