Brazil: Where do you live?:

Hello Turtletooned, Congrats on keeping at it after being well educated on how horrible most ALL of Brazil is and most ALL Brazilians so you should really just stay home and work to create "safe zones" for you to hide in when any life challenges come your way. Tons of great people don't bother to communicate on forums anymore because of this, people with less than successful attitudes that project their failures as being caused by everything around them and having nothing to do with them are more abundant than the opposite. Millions of foreigners living in Brazil from all over the world having successful and fulfilling lives just tune out and don't waste their time debating the multidao. A brilliant American Success coach Les Brown said it succinctly: " You don't get in life what you want, you get who you are". Winners understand this, the rest to varying degrees do not. An aspiring Olympic champion seeks out who for advice? Look for those with success attitudes living their dreams and ask them for help deciding if where they are (anywhere in the world) may fit for you. You are on the right track, good luck and best wishes from the many who would say Brazil is awesome man, we have decided to have our challenges here rather than X!

Brazil: Why is it almost impossible for a Brazilian woman to married a American man:

I do similar work with folks from around the world at the tropical NE tip of Brazil that Marlington does down south. I have noted her solid and honest, educated advice to folks for I think at least 7 years. 40 years is a long time folks, if she says run, you better put your running shoes on immediately and never look back and send her flowers in thanks. I am here just 13 years, married a woman I met on the first day here, however I had been here three times before. I also looked at the idea with very clear glass in my lenses, no rose colored allowed. I studied everything about this woman for two months, focusing on her character and relationships with everyone around her, her attitude, her work ethic, her health, her openness to learn, her money consciousness etc. Being attracted is the easy part, thinking that everything else will work itself out later is the reason why most relationships crash in a couple of years these days. There is no "all" that applies to most any conversation about anything but there are generalities sure. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about Brazil or NY or London, both men and women have their stuff and today you have to be pretty smart about it all to have a chance at a good long term relationship. So for gosh sakes pay attention to signs you are getting and just say no thanks unless you are open to what I have seen so many gringoes go through that let their hormones and illusions rule their decision making process. I have some Nike's I can lend you! Aloha and good luck and thanks Marlington for all your great service to folks all these years!

Brazil: Bringing Vitamins/Supplements:

Bringing supps for your personal use, entering on an ND work visa should be no problem. Customs looking for people coming in to resell things for the most part. I say "should" mind you. On any day you never know for sure. Enough for a few months of personal use hopefully you can glide on in. There is a rich herbal culture in Brazil you can learn to maybe help you fulfill your needs locally. US/foreign products are appearing more and more online, just a lot more $ because of customs and shipping costs. Good luck with your Brazil adventure. PM me anytime if you like for more specifics.

Brazil: divorce, assets kid:

Your Dad needs urgent help from an honest heavy hitter lawyer it appears. I have a best friend in SP who owns his own firm that I trust completely. The only attorney I have met in 13 years where I can say that. He is specialist in real estate law but not sure if includes divorce actions. I have written him about your case and will advise here if his answer is yes. And or a referral he trusts to help you and Dad. He speaks and writes English very well. Find out if Dad's marriage in Brazil gave his wife rights to property beforehand. It can include that or just assets acquired after the marriage. This of course will effect her rights to his property in Malta or elsewhere before the marriage.
