I am thinking about taking an English teaching job in Bogota, and I understand the city is not safe. I would appreciate any help in this matter , plus how many Canadian expats live there, what is the standard of living, is there a problem with terrorists, what r the students attitudes to foreign teachers and what aspects are there to teaching English there that they may not mention in their emails?

I know this is an old message but the reply is new , do u know what the job situation is like for English teachers, bartenders and persons with a human geography background? My mother was born in Wroclaw but she has not been there since she was 2 and I was curious what the city was like.
