Malaysia: What to take/leave from Europe:

Hello I too am about to make the move to Malaysia with a young family. We are currently planning what to take and what to leave, what to buy when we get there etc. I'd appreciate some tips on the following! What do you miss in Malaysia, so what to make sure to bring - eg. marmite (I am English!), food/products/possessions... ALso what not to take - I've read in this forum about wooden furniture - is it really not a good idea to take any wooden furniture from N Europe to Malaysia, or is it only a problem when bringing it back? Can you recommend shipping methods/specific companies for shipping out our possessions? (we are paying, not the business!) Is there a good second-hand market for expats leaving and selling off their furniture etc? How can we tap into this? Thanks for your help!
