Mexico: New car:

We moving to bucerias full time and want to buy a new Mexican car. Car cost Approx 30k. Will there be any tax? How much do plates cost?Is there a yearly fee or tax on autos?

Mexico: Crime in Mexico?:

I support your responses to posts however I read the post that was removed and quite honestly you were venting. Nothing in your post was too true, just not helpful to anyone reading this forum. HOWEVER there is nothing at all wrong with venting. But I don't think the "truth" about Mexico had anything to do with it.

Mexico: Spreading Mom's ashes:

I am sorry for your loss. Kind of a funny story of when I took my parents ashes to Mexico. I had them each in their own cardboard boxes in plastic bags. When the Mexican customs dude open my suitcase, and then one of the boxes and said "what is this"? I said "my parents" and he turned the whitest shade of Mexican I have ever seen, slammed the box and my suitcase closed in a nano second, and said "have a nice day". Smugglers take note LOL. Once on the beach in Acapulco (as the sun was setting), I asked the group of Canadians (drinking there on the beach) if they would watch my stuff, while I went into the water. At this time they had no idea what was in the two baggies laying next to my shoes on the beach. One guy announces " I bet I can guess what is in the baggies" and I said 'I bet you CAN'T" as he looked down at the baggies and said "sand" My response was "sure bud I flew from Michigan to Mexico to bring sand TO the beach" and I laughed out loud. I had written mom and dad on the bags so I could tell them apart and as this guy looked harder at the bag whose label was visible he said "what does wow mean"?. As I turned the bag around so he could see the word was mom, I saw a little light bulb over his head as he realized what was going on. In the end they watched my stuff and after I had let each of my parents go in the ocean. As I turned back around to walk back to the shore, the Canadians all had their glasses raised to toast Bill and Joyce. I am sure you miss your parents just like I do, but if you can find some Canadians drinking in Mexico (I know what are the chances) your memory of the "release" might pleasantly stay with you forever.

Mexico: Saw another dead body tonight.:

Hey Debbie downer, If you don't like Mexico just shut up and don't come here. No one cares what you think of this "pile of crap" country. Your posts are nothing but a self centered and self pitying cry for attention. Please honey leave Mexico to those of us who have lives and go back to where ever they kicked you out of last. Mexico does not need you nor do those of us who choose to live here to get away from your ilk.

Mexico: Mexico, 3rd most dangerous....:

Chicago has a murder rate of 20.55 per 100,000 and your point is?

Mexico: By the sea....:

Bucerias

Mexico: Going through Customs:

You will enter on a tourist visa that is valid for 180 days. When you fill out the paperwork for the visa you will enter a expected return date.. That date can not be longer than the 180 days. As for tap water I think you might be better with purified water. Some resorts and hotels have systems however we stick to bottled water (unless in Cancun) as the water at the source my be purified, however the pipes the water travels through, might not keep it that way

Mexico: If you are an American retiree with resident status in Mexico, do you need to report global income to file tax return in Mexico or only the income generated in Mexico?:

I don't see how an always to be private citizen of the US is going to force anybody to do anything.. LMAO

Mexico: Cool old Fart SEEKS:

LMAO it sounds like you in fact have not "unplugged" from all of "that"as you are still taking time to post about it.. And you sound a little bitter but I would expect a party of NO republicant to be bitter..
