Kenya: Moving to Nairobi with young children:

Hi Everyone, I am a spanish woman married to an irish, and my family is moving very shortly to Nairobi, next August. I am concerned because we have a 2 and half year old toddler and a 5 month old baby. I would like to know if there are serious health risk for young children. Also what it is better to rent house or apartments?? Are both choices inside a compound or compounds are mainly apartments? I prefer if I have the choice of a house but it depends on the security. Have compounds facilities such swimming pool or tennis court?. For expats women, are there any association where we can go and meet other expats. The country I used to live for 5 years, Ukraine has this association with differetn activities for women. Also do I need to bring my own mosquito sprays from Spain??
