Saint Lucia: Whats new on St. Lucia - moving to St. Lucia:

Hi, I have been for 7 month in St. Lucia in the year 2004 and since then dreamed of coming back. I know of course there is a lot of new buildings and all of that but I would be mostly interested in how is the economy doing on the island and how is the tourism right now. I have read about cruising tourists getting robbed and this kind of things is it really that bad with the crime and if your a local?? Loved to get some honest answers from you guys. :-)
