Global Expat Forum: where to retire:

Hello all, My wife and I live in the USA, in Utah and want to retire hopefully in the next 3 years. We have been researching and learning about different places for about the last year and a half. I think we have narrowed it down to either Panama or Ecuador. I was hoping to get some input from people who have retired to these countries, pros and cons, that sort of thing. I know to actually get a feel, you need to visit. Our plan is to start doing this next year with a visit to Panama. We do not want to live in a large city, but something smaller but close enough to have the benefits of the large city, mainly medical facilities. Thanks for any advice and help any can give. Shane
