Trinidad & Tobago: Moving back to Trinidad:

Hi everyone, I'm a born Trinidadian however, I left at a very young age and moved to the Bahamas then I moved to Canada. This is going to be my last year in high school and I was looking at going to post-secondary at UWI. It's been a long time since I've been to Trinidad and from what I've been reading online it doesn't seem like the best place to be but I would like someone who actually lives in Trinidad to give me a bit of advice before I move back. Also I'm planning to study to be a psychologist, is that a job in demand in Trinidad and what are my chances of living a decent and happy life back in Trinidad?
