Romania: Do any jobs exist for only English speakers in Romania?:
Most of you are asking whether one could find a job without being able to speak Romanian.
I found a job in Bucharest, pretty well paid, in an IT company (on a non-IT position). I would recommend IT companies, they are doing quite well, and there are many multinational companies.
Even though speaking English (native) is a huge advantage, not speaking Romanian is a handicap. It is important to make an effort and at least try to learn a few words, or even go beyond the classical "Buna ziua", Nobody is expecting you to be fluent in 3 days, but my boss told me he hired me not only because I could speak a bit of Romanian, but also because it showed I was flexible, willing to learn and to adapt to my new situation.
Knowing how to speak Romanian will help you most probably in many other situations.
There are many free resources out there, the one that I like the most is: www.learnro.com/common-romanian-words
