Canada: Moving to Canada from UK - where do I start?:

Dear All, My husband and I are hoping to move to Edmonton, Alberta in the next 12-18 months. My Husband is a Class 1 HGV driver with 10 years experience driving Class 1, Class 2 and Low Loader Trucks. I have experience working as a Retail Sales Manager and Trainer. We have 2 dogs and no children... With the hope of expanding our family once we move! Also, I have a cousin living in Edmonton, with her Canadian born Husband. She left the UK around 7 years ago and has since had kids and started her own business as an architect! Where do we start in terms of planning a move? Do we secure a visa? Do we try to get sponsorship through an employer or my cousin? We would need to part mortgage a property in Canada should we get approved... Any advice on mortgage rates, lenders or deposits would be appreciated. Feeling pretty clueless about planning the move - I'll be grateful of any advice you can give. Thanks in advance! Katy
