Bermuda: Safety on the Island:
This is the norm for Bermuda.. Most of the streets off of the main street do not have proper lighting.
Over all most areas are pretty safe to walk... even at night ...

Bermuda: Customs Duties on personal items:
You have 90 days grace when you move here to bring your belongings over.. after 3 months when you fly into bermuda you are allowed to bring in 200.00 after that you pay 25% duty on it. Also when you have items shipped in,, there is a different charge depending on what you order... Most of it is 25% - Books are free from duty but there is a 5.00 charge at the Post office for every parcel brought in.. You can only recieve 30.00 per month of gifts

To stay close to the city.. the parishes you should be looking at are Pembroke, Devonshire and Paget and Spanish Point(which is in pembroke)
