Uruguay: Car Prices:
I viewed some ads on Mercado Libre and I have seen some super-expensive prices for average cars. Also, the price is listed in U $ S. What does U $ S mean?
Uruguay: internet deadzone:
It seems to me that a decent internet service provider is an absolute blessing for the people in the country. I don't understand why nobody initiated the process. It could be much better than the download/upload I'm seeing on this forum, and I suspect, it might be cheaper too.
Uruguay: Anyone from U.S. coming to UY in December?:
No, I'm not coming anytime soon, perhaps next year, however, I'd like to point out the option of buying the screens from the US, and I'd ship them to you, that way it shouldn't be any import tax or fee. I did replace several iPhone screens (for my own kids' phones) with this company near me in Dumont, NJ. They're called http://itechcellular.com/ and they replace iPhone, iPad, iPod screens while you wait, 15 min or so, for about $80 each. I guess they would sell the parts for something similar, even if they don't install them.
If you want, I live in Englewood, NJ, few miles away from Dumont, I can ask them if they'd sell me the parts you need. If they do, I'd mail them to you.
I know "normal" people in this NYC area wouldn't do any favors to anybody as if they saw the devil, but I would. Obviously, you'd have to send me the costs involved.
Uruguay: Food and health in Uruguay:
@letsmove & @Kimbo. I agree with both, with letsmove on the account that any indirect info should be disclosed as indirect, however, any valid information, whether direct or hearsay, will still be valid. Lastly, even direct, personal experience carries a high degree of subjectivism.
I value the information found in this forum more than Wikipedia.
Romania: Do any jobs exist for only English speakers in Romania?:
Being a Romanian living in the US, I have some sort of biased information, however, the replies to your post didn't seem to clarify anything of what you asked.
First, 7000RON=1100GBP, which is not bad for Bucharest, although you might have to downgrade your lifestyle expectations if 1100GBP doesn't look that good. You can clearly live decently on that in Bucharest. In Arges, you may not make as much as in Bucharest, but it's all about what you can do. The way you presented yourself, I'd suggest real estate business, even as a beginner. Obviously, there are plenty other venues, but this one cannot go too wrong if you really are a face-to-face person. Good luck, baby, you'll need some.
