Uruguay: URUGUAY NOT SO ISOLATED ANYMORE:

I think this is how you quote here? In any event, I think the UN invasion of Uruguay will be justified not looking for guns, but to shut down all the parillas contributing to global warming via carbon emissions. And yes, this is a joke. Kinda.

Uruguay: WW3?:

At this point I think this is mostly the Turks and KSA making a lot of noise. Some Saudi planes have moved to Turkey. Turkey has shelled some Kurds in Syria. No land invasion of Syria yet. Pretty sure NATO will be telling Erdogan of Turkey to STFU as they have no desire to fight the Russians at this time. Uruguay: The Kitchen:

Or should I have said "La Cocina"? I haven't been in a house in Uruguay, only looked at what seems like a bazillion real estate ads. From apartments in Montevideo, to vacation homes up the coast, all styles and ages, up to lets say a price of 250K US$. It seems like the following two generalizations can be made in comparison to houses in the States: 1. Appliances are a good bit smaller, especially the range top (4 burner stove), maybe less so the fridge, and 2. Counter space is at a premium. Is this basically the case, or am I not paying close enough attention? Thanks

Uruguay: Got a crush on Uruguay...:

>In Uruguay, you would be instantly spotted as a gringo from a block away. One of the highlights of my recent trip to Uruguay: I was walking alone down a residential street in Pocitos (wife back at the hotel) and a cab driver pulled over and asked me for directions. I apologized in my espanol turista and he thought it was pretty funny, gave me a big thumbs up as he sped off. Not sure which one of the five people I look like, but that made my day.

Uruguay: Heating Systems:

Looking at real estate listings for Uruguay, it seems that most houses and apartments do not have a permanent or central heating system, or maybe have a wood stove or fireplace. If there isn't a heating system, what kind of heating units are used? I'm assuming it's cold enough in the winter at least that something is needed.

Uruguay: Availability of Arthritis drugs:

Does anyone have information on the availability of the arthritis drugs Humira, Enbrel, and Methotrexate in Uruguay? Or know of a general resource on drug availability? Thanks.
