Netherlands: Christmas volunteering:

Hello, I am an American expat currently living in Spain who will be spending several days alone in Amsterdam this Christmas, including the holiday itself. My reason for being there is pure pleasure, but I would like to take a few hours out of my day on Christmas to volunteer helping the less fortunate. 2015 is my first year without being with family during the holidays and I have already let Easter and Thanksgiving pass without using this time to give something back so I would love to find a place where a random tourist would be accepted without questioning so I could immediately get to work helping others?
