Morocco: Western women in Morocco:

Hi Sarah, My names is Ursula and I m living with my Moroccan boyfriend in London, and we too are thinking of moving to Casablanca where my bf is from in the next couple of years. I totally understand your concerns about the moving to Maroc, it s a massive commitment and I too am unsure whether I d cope without my family and friends nearby. So where is your partner from? I ve been doing my research into whether there is a network of western women in Morocco and came across AIWC - which is an association for English speaking women of all nationalities including Moroccans. There s also the Churchill Club which is an English speaking social club and they have an amateur drama group and there are themed dinners every month as well as other activites. Perhaps you could look at the US Embassy in Rabat, and the consulate in Casablanca websites. I mean, I can t help but think these are organisations for 50+ yr old expats and not geared towards 25yr olds like me. I must say, I ve my reservations about going, but then again, I d hate myself it if I did nt give it a go. I also think its hard to contemplate making the move, especially if you re an independent person like me, who needs to live their own life as well as their partners. I often do my own thing and hang out with friends as well as chill out with my bf. But the thought of being a stay at home wife to be would kill me, hence why I ve made inroads as to how to get involved in charitable organisations, teaching at the American Schools etc. Pls do get in touch and lets talk more. Morocco: Thinking of Moving to Casablanca!:

I would very much like to hear from anyone thinking of moving to Morocco from Europe (in particular from the U.K) I am a British/Swiss national with a Moroccan boyfriend, currently living and working in London. and we are hoping to move to Casablanca in the next two years or so. Morocco: Looking for English Speaking Folks:

Hi Mary, I am a British/Swiss citizen, looking for English speaking contacts in Casa as my Moroccon boyfriend is from the city and would like us to settle there. We currently live and work in London and recently went to Casa to meet his parents. Ideally, we would like to move to Casa in the next 2-3yrs, but understandably I am very nervous as to whether this move would be too much of a cultural jump etc? Hi Cosmogirl, I m so pleased to have come across your message and indeed this website although rather late! I am 25 year old British/Swiss national living and working in London, and I too am thinking of moving to Casablanca with my Moroccan boyfriend. Ideally my boyfriend would like us to move to Casablanca in the next 2yrs or so, but I m rather nervous as to whether this would be too much of an undertaking, due to the cultural differences, language barrier etc. I just wondered, did you manage to hear back form anyone re their experiences at all please? Hello there, Hope I have caught you before you ve made the big move! I too have a Moroccan boyfriend and am considering moving there but to Casablanca in the next 2-3yrs. As you well understand, its a really big undertaking and one thats obviously life changing. I am currently living and working in London and am 25 yeaerds old.
