Philippines: Filipina wife of 20 years dies:

Perhaps i can tell my story here,if it is any help.? My filipina wife of 27 years died in New Zealand,in 2010 We had a property of one hectar of land,and a house built on it. Obviously,the property was in my wife,s name,but the title, also had my name on it,as the spouse of T... H....... I came to the Phil,and contacted a lawyer for advice of my rights in this matter. He asked me,Is there a will? No. Have you children? No. He said ,according to the Philippines Law Of Sucsession, the property is mine Free to sell whithin due course?/whatever that means?/As my wife,s relations started to make demands.I decided to put my name on the title as the sole owner,It took me 3 months,and about 15k /pesos/So i became one of the few foreigners with a land title. in the Phil It took me 2 years to sell the property, ,With no problems.
