Laos: Almost there!:

Good morning, Laos! I am about two weeks away from arriving in Vientiane. I will be teaching English at a private school in the city. I've spent the past couple of weeks reading blogs and articles about 'expat' life in Vientiane, and must say it sounds like a bit of a mixed bag. I'm in rural northeastern Thailand at the moment, and really looking forward to coming to Vientiane. I am travelling with a friend, and we will need to find some temporary (cheap) accommodation for the first month that we're there...any suggestions? So tell me....what's it reeeallly like living in Vientiane? What about two farang girls on their own? Looking forward to meeting new people and learning more of Lao culture and language!
