Peru: Cats entering Peru:

My understanding is that cats from the US and other countries are destroyed or returned to the country of origin....I'm planning to move to Lima shortly and also want to bring 2 dogs and a cat....anyone know how to go about this? Dogs are ok...does the cat have to be smuggled in from Bolivia?

I have spent six of the last ten weeks in Lima and am going back in a couple days for another two weeks prior to moving there. What I've found is that the cost of living is cheap relative to the US. You can buy an apartment for a fraction of the cost here, and groceries are also reasonable. Going out to eat is a third-to half of what it is in the US. Going to be checking out apartments this trip so will post back when I return.
