Colombia: Buying a house in Armenia:

Budget range is about $300,000,000 cop need 4 bedroom and two bath. I have a house in Manizales that I need to sell. Looking for something warm.

Colombia: LIVING THE DREAM:

I found my wife on Amlantia we have been married almost 3 years now. I purchase a house in Manizlaes and travel between the States and Colombia. I say go for it learn Spanish and use online translator too. Once you are in a Colombia family it is very close my wife talks to her Mom and Dad everyday from the states. Lucky she uses WhatsApp to chat and also on my T-moble account I pay $10 a month and she can talk to Colombia land line as long as she wants. I would move to Colombia but have some medical issues so we are in Colombia 3 months out of the year and works well for us.

Colombia: Leave here or ship later:

Well buying in Colombia is inexpensive but there are somethings you can not find easily so these are the things you should ship. I would first try to buy what you need first. If you have a tool box that would be a good thing to ship. Labor down here is cheap so getting things fix here is always a good price.

Colombia: Netflix:

I use Netflix in Colombia this last November, December and January they have different content in Colombia then in the States. They have both English and Spanish.

There is a lot of salsa lesson on youtube check it out there are a number of different styles. If you go back to the states there are a lot of lesson in most large town in the USA just look them up. There is just a basic step and you just build on that. Once you get the basic beat down it will just start to flow but you need to practice everyday. Then you will start to feel the beat in your bones. Good Luck

Colombia: IRA Distributions:

You will have to pay taxes in the USA when you take money out of the IRA. I feel it is best to take out only what you need as not to pay too much taxes to the government. If you are 70 take your normal allotment out and draw from a USA bank as needed. If you have SSA then work with the money from the USA instead of bringing the money to Colombia.

Colombia: Travel:

The bus ride is 8 to 10 hours. Not sure if it worth it. The cost is much better riding the bus. I have not had any problems with Avianca and now use my mileage for discount tickets work out for me.

Colombia: Manizales vs. Pereira:

Manizales is much cooler then where you are at now. Manizales has a lot of hills and not flat. My wife and family live there so I have purchase a house there to live when I am in Colombia. It is about a 4 hours bus ride to Cali, You will find the same amount of actives as where you want to move from.
