India: Cost of Renting Apartment in Delhi:

Is someone able to advise on the rough costs of renting an apartment in Delhi. Very little information on the web that Ive been able to find and prices seem to vary enormously from teh stuff I can find. Currently in negotiations for a move to India and want to be able to guage what the accommodation allowance will provide. We would prefer a 3brm (part or fully furnished) apartment in an expat area. Aircon essential. Would like a pool in the complex. I also hear backup power and water is recommended. Any help would be appreciated including any suggested web links. Cheers

Im currently considering a job in Delhi and would like some information regarding things I should consider in negotiating my package. I have a wigfe and 4 yr old daughter. Particular things Im looking at are: What is a reasonable rent allowance and what things do I need to consider. There seems to be a big variance in prices. What is the age for starting school. Normally start at 5 in Australia. What is Delhi like to live in? Can anyone advise of good school and where I may be able to get some information. What are other elements of expat salary packages to be mindful of? Hope the questions arent too silly but Im somewhat new to this. Cheers
