Nicaragua: Owning land in business's name...benefits?:

If you have a business that currently is in operations and it is doing well, for tax reasons if in the company's name the property would increase the business' value and be depreciated over time. Which can help you at he moment of your year end tax declaration. If you have any other questions just let me know, but with reference to that specific situation off the top of my head...

I wish you the best for you business, unfortunately I don't have any specific contacts for leather goods, but a suggestion would be to go to some of the markets like the one in Masaya, Monimbo or Leon there seems to be a good leather production centers there. I would definitely suggest considering what Tiffer has to say, he has been doing what he does for a while now 10+ years. With reference to your business and taxes if you want to know about that just let me know. I have a Certified Public Accounting firm in Managua called SAENICSA. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and just to let you know it is important that you know what you're going to do before you do it than as you go along, because if your idea and investment plan is dependent on being approved for under the 306 law just a reminder the benefits are not retroactive.

The only person that I can recommend is Paul Tiffer, his office is in Managua, but he does attend to clients in Leon / Chinandega aera.

Nicaragua: The cost of opening a business account in one bank:

It just depends on the type of accounting that you want to open. If your planning on opening a business account you need to have a business that is registered as a Persona Juridica. Generally a business account requires a minimal amount of USD$700+ just depending on the bank you go to. Nonetheless, if you legally you are not obligate to open an account as a business, in fact the reason why the process is so complicated for many is because the business has not had enough time to mature, so to say. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I have a certified public accounting firm in Managua. You can google us: SAENICSA. I hope that I have been able to help you. Other than that a regular bank account under a person's name: Savings USD$ 50.00+ Checking USD$ 100.00+, everything depends on the bank...
