Netherlands: Zandvoort?:

Hi everyone! I am from N.Ireland and have just moved to Holland with my Dutch wife. My wife lived in N.Ireland for 14 years so she has lost touch with which towns and cities are the best to live in. We have our own internet business so we work from home, the daily commute is very relaxed:) We are hoping to live near the beach in either Noordwijk or Zandvoort depending on the value for money on property. We have seen a property in Zandvoort we like but my wife's mum is against us living in Zandvoort mainly because of a perception of it being run down and too touristic in the spring and summer. Does anyone have any experience of living in Zandvoort or any other costal towns near the Ranstad?
