Colombia: USA Sewing Patterns:

Hi all, I know THIS one is a little out of the norm, BUT . . . Does anyone know IF - "US" type sewing patterns are available in Cali (ie. Simplicity, Vogue, McCalls, etc).? We just did some digging downtown, but could only find a very few scant "local" patterns that I'm afraid won't do at all. Somebody PLEASE save me . . LOL. Thank SOOOOOO much

Colombia: small packages from USA:

Hi there, We actually use A Tiempo Cargo The cost is about 2x the weight of the box & my boxes are always there within a week or so

Colombia: From U.S. to Colombia:

Seriously? That's what your bringing to this post? A ramble on someone's comparison? Can't we HELP our fellow travelers BETTER?

Colombia: USA son visiting:

I am married to a Colombian My 30 something son will be coming to visit & possibly WORK with us at our business. Can anyone give some insight as to visa requirements? Temporal or Work?

Colombia: medical care:

WOW . . . NOT real sure why your monthly payment is SOOOOOOO high. We also have Sura . . . Absolutely love ?? it BTW . . . I have MY Cedula & our monthly payment is ONLY$80,000. I was added as a "beneficiary" entitled to ALL of the benefits as my husband at NO additional cost. We both have FULL medical & dental coverage that I would say is actually BETTER than coverage in the USA. We recently had an emergency with my husband resulting in a brief hospital visit. We weren't even charged a penny co-pay & his treatment was THE best. A couple years ago I had THE worst asthma attack & I was treated quicker & better than anytime I was in the USA. Sura ROCKS !!! BUT . . . Like I previously stated . . . I don't understand why YOUR monthly payment is SOOOOOOO high AND why it's extra to add your spouse to the policy

Colombia: TP-10 and REsident visas:

I'm actually under the TP-10 (temp) visa currently. Our goal was initially the Resident visa, however . . . As one only needs to possess "a visa" for 5 years in order to get CITIZENSHIP (for me dual), we will be renewing my temp. Cost is much less AND . . . Why pay for more years than I need.

Colombia: medical care:

Well, we personally have an AWESOME Healthcare program. We live in Cali, but we can receive care throughout Colombia. My husband just recently had an emergency situation & after all was said & done we had ZERO co-pays. He also has a slightly elevated sugar situation & I am SO jazzed at just how well they monitor, test & take care of him . . . with very little to NO co-pays EVER charged. Yes, you will need a Cedula. I obtained my Spousal Visa by travelling to Bogota. A Cedula will open many doors for you. You will need a Cedula to open a bank account as well.

Colombia: Mail from the U.S.:

Hi all, I'll be relocating to Cali next year. Can anyone give advice on Mail Forwarding services from the states to Colombia? Thanks Sooooo much

Colombia: Pernament residency:

Ummm, apparently you CANNOT do this in any city, as WE just discovered 3 days ago here in Cali. When I got my Spousal in Bogota, we were told we did not have to go back TO Bogota, as they now had ALL of my information. We went to the office here in Cali & were told we DO have to go back to Bogota.

Colombia: US Social Security MAIL:

Good day, If you are an American . . . Can anyone advise just how you handle any correspondence you receive from Social Security? I'm being told that there are deadlines to respond. We're still not sure how to even address RECEIVING any mail that is mailed to us in the US. Any guidance / help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
