Ireland: Current Status of Stamp 0 Review:
Re: situation with INIS & Stamp 0 questions ... ..When applying first time , last yr was very impressed & appreciative of INIS staff never failing to send quick (within 24 hrs) & helpful replies to my many emails about about the application process etc . Now about to apply for Stamp 0 renewal , noticing there is now very limited & vague info on INIS webiste and have been waiting 2 weeks for a reply to myemails, Very strange situation based on last year's very positive experience ... so curious what's up?? Effects of Brexit with influx of Stamp 0 applicants from U.K.? Possible Stamp 0 policy changes in progress ?? Woud sure be helpful to know more but think the only reliable source of that info are the employees at Unit 2 Residence Division who do not seem to be responding to email this month . ;-(
Ireland: RE: irish accountancy firm to certify fnancial docs for Stamp O = retiree:
Anyone in this forum that is in the midst of applying for or renwaing their Stamp 0 status ( as a retiree /person of independent means from U.S ) and can recommend a reasonably priced Irish accountancy firm ( (e.g less than 1000+++ euro I was quoted by a couple of accountants in Dublin & Cork ) ) to provide the services required by INIS as part of the Stamp 0 Application : ..i.e. as per the INIS website : "Financial documentation should be presented in tabular form and converted into Euros, clearly showing all income and expenditure on a monthly basis. This must be certified by an Irish accountancy firm who have the expert knowledge to interpret the format of the overseas banking / accountancy documentation. " . Thanks a mil for any tips recommendations ./ referrals .

Ireland: Moving to Ireland from Australia:
I am one of those newyorkers trying to relocate to ireland .. in dublin now about to send my application to INIS... after paying an irish accountant €1000 to tabulate & certify docs from US banks, etc showing I meet the min of 50,000 per yr income ( plus apparently a min of 180,000 immediately accessible cash ) another necessary step in the new system for obtaining residency as a Non EU retiree ... which I understand is only good for 12 months, , Needing to reapply each yr for at least 5 yrs... In short , a lot of work and expense to relocate, with no guarantee application will be approved. as have been told there are reviewed on case by case basis .. Would be grand to learn there will be some changes in the system to make this application process less challenging and costly .
