Macedonia: Banking, cost of food, housing, etc.:

I am looking at Macedonia for a project that our company is considering. I am supposed to get information that is helpful if we should decide to bid this project. I have found some information, but I need more living related information. I want to know how to open a checking account (what documents are needed for a US citizen). I want to know simple things like 1. Is there a postal service and how efficient? 2. Costs of goods and any miscellaneous advice. I hate to send workers on our behalf and not prepare them properly.
