Costa Rica: English Teacher in Costa Rica:

Can anyone help me? I live/work in Tampa as a teacher in public education and would like to teach English in Costa Rica for a year and possibly retire there. I just reached retirement age of 62 and am considering taking an international certification program (4-weeks in San Jose in July) to teach English to foreign language learners (International TEFL Academy). I've been told I can easily get a job teaching English in Costa Rica. Is this true? The pay is low but am told the housing is much less than the US. They said recruiters will come to the school to interview You and most get jobs immediately. Anyone out there that can help? Susan/Tampa, Florida
